Wildlife Crime on Balderton Lakes 04/09/2025

On Thursday 4th September 2025 around 18:45hrs at Balderton Lakes, Balderton, Newark, a Moorhen was seriously injured by use of a slingshot.
The Moorhen's injuries were so severe that unfortunately she has had to be put to sleep, leaving behind several babies.

Police are looking for anyone who may have been in the area at this time and may have witnessed this Wildlife Crime.
